Do you want to teach your class or other group of young people about the Judicial Branch of government? Take a field trip to the Harold R. Banke Justice Center.

A field trip to the Harold R. Banke Justice Center is a great idea to consider when teaching young students how the government works, more specifically, the Judicial Branch.

During a tour, students and chaperones will be led around the Courthouse by an employee of the Office of the Court Administrator. A tour will include a chance for the group to observe actual court proceedings (which could range from arraignments to an actual trial). Following the observation, a Q&A session will be held with the presiding Judge if available.

Students will also be introduced to the various offices housed in the Courthouse, such as the Alternative Dispute Resolution Office (mediation) and the various Clerks’ Offices. Finally, students will have a chance to meet Courthouse employees, attorneys, deputies and others.

A trip to the Harold R. Banke Justice Center is a great opportunity for the youths of today to see government in action, and is highly recommended to those who would like to show their students what they have been learning about.

Schedule your trip to the Harold R. Banke Justice Center by completing the online form. Email the completed form to court.admin@claytoncountyga.gov.
