Office of Digital Equity

The goal of the Office of Digital Equity is to ensure that the residents of Clayton County have equal access to affordable and reliable high-speed internet, technology, and the skills needed to survive and compete in the digital world. We are looking forward to working with County leaders, local organizations and businesses, and of course, the citizens of Clayton County to close the “Digital Divide”.

Office of Digital Equity Government to Citizens Georgia GMIS Award

Clayton County’s Department of Information Technology, Office of Digital Equity, led by Takiyah Thomas, Digital Equity Administrator, has received the Government to Citizens (G2C) Award from Georgia Chapter of Government Management Information Sciences (GA-GMIS).

Clayton County Ranks 8th Place in the National Digital Counties Survey

Clayton County earns a Top 10 national recognition in the Center for Digital Government’s 2022 Digital Counties Survey. The County’s Department of Information Technology ranks 8th in the digital survey and follows the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Cybersecurity Framework.

The Clayton County Department of Information Technology provides customer-oriented and convenient access to information and services through the use of technology; anytime – anywhere. The County strives for cost-effective use of technology, with interactive exchange and sharing of data within departments, with constituents, with other governments and business partners.

The mission of the Information Technology Department is to build a solid and comprehensive technology infrastructure, maintain an efficient and effective operation environment, and deliver high quality and timely services.

In partnership with Clayton County departments and constitutional offices, the Department of Information Technology provides business value through innovative thought, secure information, collaborative input and partnership with our customers, leveraging technology as an enabler of effective, safe, and efficient delivery of high-quality government services.

Hours of Operation

Open 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday.
Closed on weekends and Clayton County Holidays.
