NOTICE OF PROPERTY TAX INCREASE

The Clayton County Board of Commissioners has tentatively adopted a 2024 millage rate which will require an increase in property taxes by 31.11 percent for Clayton County M & O.

All concerned citizens are invited to the third public hearing on this tax increase to be held at the Clayton County Board of Commissioners Board Room, 112 Smith Street, Jonesboro, GA on August 6, 2024 at 6:00 PM.

This tentative increase will result in a millage rate of 15.266 mills, an increase of 3.622 mills.  Without this tentative tax increase, the millage rate will be no more than 11.644 mills.  The proposed tax increase for a home with a fair market value of $250,000 is approximately $261.54 and the proposed tax increase for non-homestead property with a fair market value of $350,000 is approximately $406.84.
