Building Maintenance

The Clayton County Buildings and Maintenance Department is responsible for the maintenance and improvement of Clayton County owned and operated facilities. In addition to routine maintenance of the County’s HVAC, plumbing, and, electrical systems, Buildings and Maintenance also provides on-call corrective maintenance for departments throughout the County. Staff in the Buildings and Maintenance department are trained in various skilled trades including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, locksmithing, carpentry, and many others. Buildings and Maintenance provides quality control for SPLOST construction projects, undertakes renovation and construction projects with internal staff when time allows, and County Mosquito Spraying on request. Buildings and Maintenance oversees the County’s pool and pest control contracts.

 

During the 2019/2020 Budget year, we are averaging 350 work orders each month.
