Clayton County Senior Services Department

Dedicated to “Changing the Face of Aging” for Clayton County residents!

The Clayton County Senior Services Department is committed to delivering programs and services that promote independence, dignity, and enhance quality of life while providing a safe, caring, and engaging environment for older adults, relative caregivers, youth, teens, adults, and families.

Our Services and Senior Centers

The Frank Bailey Senior Center in Riverdale, GA, the J. Charley Griswell Senior Center in Jonesboro, GA, and the Sonna Singleton Gregory Senior Center in Ellenwood, GA, offer vibrant, welcoming spaces where active older adults ages 55 and older can stay healthy, learn new skills, and connect with their community.

Each center features an exciting mix of fitness and wellness programs, educational classes, arts and culture experiences, and recreational opportunities that inspire growth, friendship, and fun. Membership fees apply.

Intergenerational Centers

Kinship Care Resource Center
Located in Jonesboro, GA the Kinship Care Resource Center provides comprehensive support and services for grandparents and relative caregivers raising children in parent-absent homes. Families can access tutoring, recreation, enrichment trips, and workshops designed to support both caregivers and children.

Flint River Community Center
The Flint River Community Center in Riverdale GA promotes intergenerational engagement by bringing together youth, adults, families, and older adults through arts, recreation, and community-building activities that strengthen bonds across generations.

Aging Program
For Clayton County residents aged 60 and older, the Aging Program provides essential support including Meals on Wheels, personal care assistance, transportation, and referral information. Additionally, the Clayton Senior Adult Program (CSAP)—housed at the Frank Bailey Senior Center—offers structured day recreation activities for adults ages 62 and older. All Aging Program services are free of charge.
