A person charges with a felony or felony probation in the Clayton Judicial circuit may submit and application to determine if he/she qualifies to receive attorney representation pursuant to Sec. 17-12-23(a)

In order to use the “Submit Form” option on the application, please download and “Save” the application before submitting via email.

 

Applications May Be Submitted via email at info.defender@claytoncountyga.gov

Applications that have been approved for attorney representation are forwarded to the Indigent Defense Administration to be assigned an attorney on a rotational basis. Defendants should allow 1-2 business days for the determination of qualification and the appointment of an attorney. After that time, defendants should contact the Indigent Defense Administration at (678) 479-5340 to determine the status of their application and the name and phone number of their assigned attorney.
