About DeMont Davis

DeMont Davis is currently serving his second term on the Clayton County Board of Commissioners, representing the citizens of District 4. With a steadfast commitment to putting people first, DeMont is dedicated to fostering meaningful change through community-focused initiatives. A passionate advocate for education, technology, economic empowerment, and community development, he is deeply invested in creating opportunities for all residents—especially youth—to achieve career success, financial independence, and personal growth.

DeMont’s dedication is exemplified by his founding of the Sabbath Keepers Youth League (SKYL), mentoring at youth detention centers, developing technology programs for youth organizations, and serving as a CASA Volunteer. His efforts extend to supporting small and minority-owned businesses, advocating for equitable economic opportunities, and working to bridge the gap between large corporations and local entrepreneurs.

A staunch supporter of healthcare equity, DeMont is addressing disparities in Clayton County by working to expand access to quality healthcare. He also champions initiatives for homeless and veteran residents, focusing on mental health, veteran benefits, and resource outreach programs. Additionally, he explores emerging technologies to drive innovation and economic growth in the community.

With over 30 years of experience as a Technology Enterprise Consultant, DeMont is a leader in software development, data architecture, and business consulting. His professional portfolio includes roles with major organizations such as Delta Airlines, MCI, Blue Cross Blue Shield, the United States Army, Coca-Cola, Skechers, and IBM. He has also held leadership positions, including Senior Consultant at Accenture (formerly Andersen Consulting) and PricewaterhouseCoopers, as well as Director of Oracle Customizations for North America at Essentus.

DeMont has shared his expertise as an Adjunct Professor, teaching courses in Database Development, C/C++, Access and Security Controls, Risk Mitigation, and Project Management. He currently serves on the ACCG Board of Managers and contributes to the Hydrogen Energy Braintrust led by Senator John Ossoff and Commissioner Tim Echols.

DeMont holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Prairie View A&M University and a Master of Science in Computer Science with a concentration in Artificial Intelligence from Clark Atlanta University.

DeMont is married to Dr. Laura Davis, a graduate of Oakwood University and Howard University. Together, they have four children: Laura Jones (Prairie View A&M University), Dr. DeMont Davis, DDS (Oakwood University and Meharry School of Dentistry), Dr. Lauren Davis, DDS (Oakwood University and Meharry School of Dentistry), and Ricky Davis (currently attending Oakwood University).

DeMont Davis remains steadfast in his mission to empower communities and inspire future generations through innovation, advocacy, and service.
