LEGAL NOTICE
CALL OF SPECIAL ELECTION TO FILL UNEXPIRED TERM OF COUNTY COMMISSION,
DISTRICT 3 CALL DATE: JULY 3, 2024
TO THE QUALIFIED VOTERS OF CLAYTON COUNTY, GEORGIA
Notice is hereby given that a Special Election shall be held on November 5, 2024, in the election precincts of County Commission District 3, of Clayton County. A run-off, if needed, shall be held on December 3, 2024.
QUALIFYING: Qualifying for the special election for County Commission, District 3 shall be held at the Clayton County Board of Registration and Elections office located at 121 South McDonough Street, Annex II, Main Floor, Jonesboro, Georgia 30236. The qualifying fee has been set as $1068.00. The dates and hours of qualifying shall be as follows:
Wednesday, July 31, 2024 -Thursday, August 1, 2024: 9:00 a.m. -5:00 p.m.
Friday, August 2, 2024, 9:00 a.m. – Noon.
VOTER REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Monday, October 7, 2024, is the last day to register to vote for all persons who are not registered to vote and who desire to vote in the Special Election.
Those residents qualified to vote at said election shall be determined in all respects in accordance with election laws of the State of Georgia. This notice is given pursuant to action of the Clayton County Board of Elections and Registration.
