Master Sergeant (Ret) Patricia Baisden


MSG (Ret) Baisden was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee to the proud parents of Private First-Class CB (Korean War Veteran) and Mrs. Lessie Reeves (RIP) but grew up in Atlanta, Georgia and is a 1986 proud graduate of West Fulton High School.  During her senior year she enlisted into the United States Army through the delayed entry program on April 10, 1986 and upon graduating was shipped to basic training at Fort McClellan, Alabama to start her career as 71L Administrative Specialist.   She then went on to obtain two (2) additional military occupation skills 92Y Supply Specialist and 79S Retention NCO and has held a multitude of key leadership position across the world.  MSG (Ret) Baisden served proudly for thirty years six months one day for God, Country, and Community.

Her first assignment was with the 449th Theater Support Battalion in Jonesboro, Georgia.  Her next assignments include: 81st ARCOM East Point, Georgia where she was by name requested to work for the General as his assistant secretary; from there she went unto the 3/347th Training Support Battalion Fort Gillem, Georgia as an Logistic Planning Administrative Coordinator for a team of 32 military personnel; then to the 87th Training Division Birmingham, Alabama as Retention Inspector for four (4) Battalions; 3/345th Combat Support/Combat Staff Support Training Battalion Fort Gillem as an Observer Controller; 87th Regional Support Group East Birmingham, Alabama as Mobilization Specialist; Federal Emergency Management Agency Region IV 5th Army Atlanta, Georgia as a Regional Emergency Preparedness Liaison Officer as their Non-Commission Officer In Charge of disaster deployment of personal and equipment; Combined Special Forces Operations Component Command-Afghanistan Kabul Afghanistan as the General Administrative Assistant; Pentagon Washington DC as Mobilization Specialist.  MSG (Ret) Baisden has deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan).

She went onto graduate with two (2) Associates Degrees one in Applied Science with a minor in General Studies from Georgia Military College, Fort McPherson, Georgia; second Associates Degree in Exercise Science from International Sports Science Association; Carpinteria, California.

Her military education includes a graduate of Basic Leadership Course, Advanced Leadership Course, Combat Life Saver Course, Unit Supply, ACE Small Arms, ACE Weapons, Retention Course, Army Reserves Maintenance Course, Logistic Management Development Course, Administrative Specialist Course, Basic Computers Course, Defense Support of Civil Authorities Phase I & Phase II, and the Observer Controller Course.

Her awards and decorations include Bronze Star Medal, Army Reserve Components Achievement Medal with 4 oak leaf clusters, Army Achievement Medal with two silver clusters, National Defense Service Medal with oak leaf cluster, NATO Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon (numeral 4), Army Service Ribbon, Daily Points of Light Award   http://www.pointsoflight.org/programs/recognition/dpol/awards/5576, and Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal.
