Judge Tameka West

Tameka A. West, Esq. graduated summa cum laude from Clark Atlanta University with a B.A. in Political Science and received her law degree from the University of Iowa, College of Law.  Ms. West has practiced law since 2000 with approximately 20 years of experience in labor and employment law.  Ms. West is the President/CEO of The West Legal Group, P.C., a boutique law firm representing clients in all types of civil matters, including business disputes, personal injury, workers’ compensation, discrimination, hostile work environment, sexual harassment, retaliation, grievances, appeals of wrongful terminations, and other employment related matters.  Ms. West also provides consulting services to human resources and small business employers regarding collective bargaining issues and fair employment practices.  In the past, Ms. West also served as a court-appointed attorney in Clayton County, Georgia.  Ms. West is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, National Employment Lawyers Association, Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys (GABWA), and a certified mediator in workplace disputes.

Ms. West is also actively involved in her church and the community, including serving as Assistant Service Unit Director for SE DeKalb, Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta, President of her Homeowners’ Association and Advisory Council Board Member for South Atlanta Magazine.
