Judge John Parker

John T. Parker has been a resident of Clayton County since 2009.  He served on the Magistrate Court bench as a part-time Judge in 2020 and 2022, and has been serving as a Full Time Judge since February of 2023.

 Judge Parker grew up on a farm in middle Tennessee, and graduated from Vanderbilt University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.  He graduated from George Washington University (“GW”) Law School in Washington, D.C. with a Juris Doctor in 2002.  He has practiced law in Georgia since that time, and ran The Parker Law Firm, P.C. in McDonough, Georgia from 2007-2023, representing injured workers in their workers’ compensation claims.

 Judge Parker has served on the Board of Directors and as President of the Henry County Bar Association.  He is a member of the Clayton County Bar Association, the Atlanta Bar Association, and the Lawyers Club of Atlanta.  He volunteered as an attorney coach of the Eagle’s Landing Christian Academy Mock Trial Team for over a decade.  Judge Parker has also been a speaker at several CLE conferences on the subject of Georgia Workers’ Compensation Law.
