Juvenile Public Information and Media Requests

Juvenile records are generally not accessible to public inspection except by order of the court or as otherwise provided in OCGA § 15-11-704.  Information regarding access to juvenile proceedings is provided in OCGA § 15-11-700.

All public information requests should be forwarded to the Court Administrator, Colin Slay.

The use of electronic devices during court hearings, including making audio or video recordings or photographing court hearings, is governed by Rule 13 of the Uniform Rules of Juvenile Courts of Georgia. Requests to record juvenile court proceedings may be made through the submission of the properly completed form listed as Exhibit A below.  The completed form should be submitted to the Clerk’s Office, appropriate judge’s office, or court administration as far in advance of the hearing as is practicable.  Willful noncompliance with Rule 13 may be treated as contempt of court.
