Online Estate Records

To View Estate Records Online:

1. Navigate to georgiaprobaterecords.com and click on Estates.
2. Select Clayton County from the drop-down menu.

 To search by name:

• Type the LAST and then FIRST name in the appropriate fields.
• Click Search.
• Click the bold case number to view the estate record.

 To search by date:

• Enter the preferred date range, either by Deceased Date or Filed Date
• Click Search.
• Click the bold case number to view the estate record.

Clayton County Probate Court estate records can be viewed online at no cost.  Available documents will display a red Adobe icon.  Click the red icon to view the image.

If you require additional documents that are not available online, they can be obtained by submitting a written request detailing the estate name, case number, and specific list of documents requested. 

• The fee for plain copies is $1.00 per page.
• The fee for a certified copy is $10.00 plus $1.00 per additional page.
• The fee for an exemplified copy is $15.00 plus $1.00 per additional page.
• There is an additional fee of $2.00 for mailing. To avoid postage costs please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope large enough to return the requested documents.

Upon the issuance of Letters a Decedent’s Last Will and Testament will be made available online.  If the Last Will and Testament is not available in the online portal you may request a copy by contacting the court directly and remitting the appropriate fees.
