2023 Junior Camp

Join Clayton County Extension Services for Junior Camp 2023 June 5- 9, 2023. For more information, visit clayton.extension@uga.edu or call 770-473-3945. #Claytonconnected Registration Link: https://bit.ly/REGISTERINCLAYTON  Flyer Below: Junior Camp, for grades 7-8, will take plate at Fortson 4-H Center in Hampton, Ga, on June 5-9, 2023. 4-H'ers will participate in archery, zip-lining, and wall climbing. They will also spend an afternoon and evening at Stone Mountain Park, go to the Atlanta Motor Speedway, and receive a souvenir t-shirt. Transportation will be provided for all activities during the week of Junior Camp and is included in the camp cost.

Digital Connections Training

The Office of Digital Equity has partnered with EveryoneOn to bring FREE digital skills training and laptops to 30 Clayton County residents. There will be two 8-hour training sessions: For English Speakers – two 4 hours sessions (June 12 and June 14) For Spanish Speakers – four 2-hour training sessions (June 13, June 14, June 20, and June 22) Participants MUST be Clayton County Residents and be 18 years old or older, and attend all 8 hours of training. Upon successful completion of all 8 hours of training, participants will be gifted the laptops utilized in training. To sign up, contact Kenneth Fogle at 770-347-0249.  Note: We can only accept 15 registrations for each 8-hour class (15 English & 15 Spanish). We will notify you if you are added to our waiting list. Habrá dos entrenamientos de 8 horas: Para hablantes de inglés: dos sesiones de 4 horas Para hispanohablantes: cuatro sesiones de capacitación de 2 horas (13 de junio, 14 de junio, 20 de junio y 22 de junio) Los participantes DEBEN ser residentes del condado de Clayton y tener 18 años o más, y asistir a las 8 horas de capacitación. Al completar con éxito las 8 horas de capacitación, los participantes recibirán como regalo las computadoras portátiles utilizadas en la capacitación. Por favor llame a nuestra oficina para registrarse. The Clayton County Board of Commissioners will hold a Budget Hearing on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at 5:30 p.m. for all interested citizens of Clayton County. The meeting will be held in the Commissioners’ Board Room, 112 Smith Street, Jonesboro, Georgia. The proposed FY 2024 budget will be presented. The proposed budget will be available for the public to view beginning June 6, 2023. The proposed budget document may be reviewed online at www.claytoncountyga.gov as well as in-person at the Forest Park Library, 4812 West Street Forest Park, Georgia, the Headquarters Library, 856 Battlecreek Road, Jonesboro, Georgia, at the Lovejoy Library, 1721 McDonough Road, Hampton, Georgia, at the Morrow Library, 6225 Maddox Rd, Morrow, Georgia and at the Riverdale Library, 420 Valley Hill Road SW, Jonesboro, Georgia during regular library hours.
