Clayton County Lands GlassesUSA US Headquarters

(Clayton County, GA) – GlassesUSA, one of the nation’s largest online prescription retailers, makes Clayton County home to its new US Headquarters and state-of-the-art Optical Lab and Fulfillment Center, an investment of $10 million and 75 jobs. Located at 640 Airport S Pkwy, Suite 400, College Park, GA, the 40,000 sq. ft. metro-Atlanta optical lab is a futuristic, robotic fulfillment lab.

The company states access to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and the Port of Savannah to send and receive products as key factors for the location decision. The new headquarters lab and fulfillment center can support the customization of over 12,000 pairs of prescription eyewear on a daily basis.

“With the help of robotics and increased automation and innovative technologies with our supply chain process, GlassesUSA.com can better meet customer needs and demands, and gain a more competitive edge in the market, ” says Eldad Rothman, Co-Founder and Chief Operations Officer. “Our overall goal of this new Optical Lab and Fulfillment Center is to increase efficiency, speed, and accuracy and to deliver what the customer needs as quickly and efficiently as possible.”

The new Optical and Fulfillment Center not only creates new jobs in Clayton County and the South Atlanta market, but also revolutionizes the structure of GlassesUSA.com supply chain (processes, automation, and individual supply chain tasks) resulting in the most efficient operations possible.

GlassesUSA.com Lab Manager Dennis Tindall says, “We anticipate unparalleled success and ongoing innovation, bringing more jobs and prosperity to Clayton County, GA and the vibrant metropolitan area as a whole.”

Customers can anticipate house and designer brands such as Ray-Ban, Gucci, Prada, and more. GlassesUSA.com boasts the largest inventory available in the United States.

“The Clayton County Board of Commissioners welcome this innovative business and economic development opportunity,” says Chief Operating Officer Detrick Stanford. “We are excited that GlassesUSA chose Clayton County to do business. “We look forward to the success of the company and expanding the number of major corporations and small businesses with all that Clayton County has to offer.”

“We have a great team approach to corporate locations in Georgia,” said Clayton County Economic Director Erica Rocker. “We worked with Rebecca Jordan, Vice President of Metro Atlanta Chamber, who assisted with this venture in Clayton County, where the world lands and opportunities take off.”

Operating hours at the lab and fulfillment center are 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. Mon.-Fri.
