As we all work together to work through this challenging time, we are happy to announce that we have organized a way to bring the UGA Pizza Farm to our Clayton County youth. Although the Pizza Farm is a fun and educational event that is normally enjoyed in-person, we have designed an online version of our event for 4th & 5th grade students and their families online.
The “Virtual” UGA Pizza Farm will take place on April 7, 2020, from 9:00 AM until 12 PM. Registration is open to the first 300 registrants. Please see the registration link below. We ask that 4th and 5th grade educators add this invitation and information to your google classrooms and let students know about the opportunity. We also encourage you to register and join with your family.
Pizza Farm is an educational program designed to expose urban youth to good nutrition, a healthy lifestyle, and Georgia’s agriculture. The Pizza Farm consists of seven stations that each represent the various parts of a pizza and showcase pizza’s connection to Georgia agriculture. Pizza Farm exposes urban youth to Georgia agriculture and emphasizes the importance of healthy lifestyles.
Please note: This program is being held during Spring Break so we do not interfere with any CCPS school-based education. For details and to register for this event, please visit 2020 UGA Pizza Farm.
