Criminal Division

The Magistrate Court is the intake court in criminal cases. The Criminal Division issues criminal arrest warrants, Temporary Protective Orders, search warrants, sets bonds on most criminal charges, and conducts preliminary hearings to determine whether there is sufficient evidence to continue criminal prosecution of a case after the arrest.

Temporary Protection Orders (T.P.O.) and Pre-Issuance Warrant Applications

Pre-Issuance Warrant Applications can be applied for if you are a victim of domestic violence or other criminal activity.

Temporary Protection Orders and Pre-Issuance Warrant Applications, must be applied for on Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:00am-11:30am and 1:00pm-4:00pm at the Magistrate Court Clerk’s Office. The telephone number for the Clerk’s Office is (770) 477-3443.
