NOTICE

RESOLUTION NO. 2023-53 APPROVED

(Clayton County, GA)-The Board of Commissioners hereby directs the Chief Operating Officer to draft correspondence on behalf of the Board of Commissioners stating that the January 31, 2023, press release issued by Chairman Jeffrey Turner on Board of Commissioners letterhead entitled “Statement Concerning GBI Investigation” was not a statement authorized, endorsed, or approved as a statement by the Board of Commissioners. Said correspondence should also include a statement that the January 31, 2023, press release on Board letterhead solely represented Chairman Turner’s personal beliefs and does not reflect the beliefs of the Clayton County Board of Commissioners.

The Board also authorizes and directs that the Chief Operating Officer perform all acts necessary to carry out the intent of this Resolution to include sending a copy of this Resolution as an attachment to the correspondence to the same media sources that received the January 31st press release from Chairman Turner.

Section 2. This Resolution shall be effective on the date of its approval by the Board of Commissioners. SO RESOLVED, this 21st day of February 2023.
