Army Specialist Ursula Anderson
Ursula decided to join the military to serve her country while striving to further her education. She was recruited to join the military fresh out of high school in Oxnard, CA. Ursula was honorably discharged from the military and completed her contract of service in 1990. She went on to serve Youth in the community as a High School Career Advisor, NAACP member, and Park Arts & Music coordinator in Honolulu, HI.
Ursula has enjoyed working in diverse fields such as Human Resources, Enterprise program management, Area Market Director Nestle Nutrition, and Corporate Wellness. She is the founder of Self-care Saturdays, a veteran mental well-being support group focused on Veterans and the women who love them. She is a trained Nutritional Therapist and Christian Life Coach specializing in group Coaching.
Education
Ursula is a proud graduate of the GSU Andrew Young School of Public Policy with a Degree in Public Administration- Human Resources. She has also earned a Business Administration degree from the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
Military Service
Ursula Anderson is an Army Veteran with 6 years of committed service, during which she trained at the 4th Combat Support Training Brigade Fort Jackson, SC upon completion she received orders reporting to the 82nd Adjutant General Company, 82d Airborne Division Fort Bragg, NC. While deployed to Fort Stewart, GA she was awarded a Certificate of Achievement during a Joint Force exercise in Cairo, Egypt from the HQ First Brigade 24th Infantry Division. Ursula also received Certificates of Appreciation for operational excellence in the Tactical Field Exchange in Egypt, as well as for supporting critical Disaster relief in W. Virginia.

Ursula is very proud to have earned her Certificate of Service for this great Nation. She is dedicated to supporting our Community, Youth, Veterans, and Seniors. The military played a pivotal role in her gaining access to higher education and professional success, and she continues serving our communities to this day.
