Weekend Lane and Ramp Closures on I-75 in Clayton, Fulton for Resurfacing Project
Georgia Department of Transportation Website – click HERE for updates
Expect Heavy Traffic Delays
ATLANTA, GA – The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) contractors install lane closures on Interstate 75 (I-75) this weekend to begin a resurfacing project from the 1-75/1-285 interchange in Clayton County to SR 54/University Avenue in Fulton County. Resurfacing improves the roadway’s deteriorating condition, preserving its lifecycle, eliminating holes and
cracks, and providing a smoother ride for drivers.
Weather and on-site conditions permitting, two right lanes will be closed on 1-75 northbound and southbound between University Drive and C W Grant Parkway beginning 6 a.m. on Sunday,
November 3 until 6 a.m. on Monday.
This $46 M project is scheduled for completion in summer 2025. Lane closures help ensure safety
for workers and drivers.
Motorists are advised to expect delays, exercise caution, and reduce their speed while traveling through the work zone during the project work hours. Before heading out, get real-time information on work status and traffic conditions. Call 511, visit 511ga.org, or download the
Georgia 511 app.
