(Clayton County, GA) – The 18 Holes for Heroes Public Safety Golf Tournament has been postponed due to inclement weather. The golf tournament, held in support of the brave men and women of Clayton County public safety agencies, will be announced at a later date.

Participants can purchase Million Dollar Shootout raffle tickets for the opportunity to have one shot at $1 million. Tournament players can form a traditional four-person team to compete in Best Ball or play Mulligans and Dice Roll.

On-site registration begins at 8 a.m. Shotgun starts promptly at 9 a.m. To donate or become a tournament sponsor access: https://www.golfinvite.net/18holesforheroes.

“In golf, as in life, success relies on precision, focus, and the support of a great team,” stated Dr. Chairwoman Dr. Alieka Anderson-Henry. “As we tee off, in the spirit of camaraderie, we honor the brave men and women who have dedicated their lives to protect our communities and our country. ’18 Holes for Heroes’ is not just a game; it’s a celebration of service, a testament to teamwork, and a reminder that together, through communication, collaboration, and consistency, we can achieve greatness.”

Veterans will also have a bigger presence the 18 Holes for Heroes golf event as the Georgia Department of Veterans Service is participating for the first time.

“The Georgia Department of Veterans Service is proud to participate in Clayton County’s 18 Holes for Heroes Public Safety Golf Tournament,” said Executive Director of Field Operations & Appeals ShellyAnn Simpson. “It’s important to note that after successfully serving our country, so many of our veterans transition into the public sector where they can continue to serve within their communities and in return, our office is here to serve and support these brave and dedicated individuals.”

Interim Emergency Management Agency Director Phong Nyguyen says, “I am excited to participate in this event for another year while also encouraging everyone to come out and support this great cause. Every drive, every putt, every birdie counts! Play your part in supporting our public safety heroes.”
