Clayton County Library System: Amnesty Days November 20-22, 2023
Clayton County Library System’s “Amnesty Days” will be held at all 6 Clayton County Branch Libraries. Amnesty Days hours are November 20-21 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and November 22 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Coats for Christmas
The Tax Commissioner of Clayton County is hosting the 3rd Annual Coats for Christmas drive. Help warm citizens of Clayton County by donating a coat, gloves, scarves, mittens, or hats. Drop donations at the Clayton County Tax Commissioner’s Office, 121 S. McDonough Street, Annex 3, Jonesboro, GA 30236. Donations will be accepted now until December 18, 2023.

Clayton County Senior Services November Veteran of the Month
Yeoman-Seaman Shontell N. Saunders-Murphy was born and raised in Detroit, MI. Shontell joined the U.S. Navy in 1993 and received an honorable discharge in 1995. Unfortunately, Shontell was forced to end her military career prematurely when her newborn daughter was diagnosed with Sickle Cell Beta Thalassemia. Since Shontell was a single mom at the time, she was forced to make the decision to be honorably discharged to educate herself about her daughter’s diagnosis.
