Office of Digital Equity Hosts Inaugural Townhall Meeting

(Clayton County, GA) – The Clayton County Office of Digital Equity will host its first townhall meeting, Fri., Jan. 10, 2025, in the Board of Commissioners Board Room, 112 Smith St., Jonesboro, GA 30236. This is a Clayton connected opportunity for residents and business owners to engage and share their experiences related to digital access, affordability, and inclusion within the County.

The townhall meeting will include:
· A presentation on current digital equity efforts and initiatives in the County.
· An open forum for residents and business owners to voice their needs, concerns, and suggestions and share their perspectives on barriers to digital access and inclusion.
· A Q&A session with representatives from local government, community organizations, and service providers.

“Digital equity is essential for economic growth, education, healthcare, and overall quality of life in our community,” said Takiyah Thomas, Digital Equity Administrator. “We are excited to hear from our residents and business owners and work together to build a more connected and inclusive future for Clayton County.”
