New Facility Upgrades for Parks
(Clayton County, GA)–New upgrades are underway at three parks, which is funded by the Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) and the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) totaling $1,139,471. Demolition of the old concession stands and bathroom facilities have begun at Morrow-Lake City Park, 555 N Lake Drive, Lake City, GA, Rex Park, 3499 Rex Road, Rex, GA, and Rum Creek Park, 1303 Government Circle, Jonesboro, GA. Each of these parks will be updated with a new modular building, which will house a new concession stand and new restrooms.
