GlassesUSA Ribbon-Cutting
(Clayton County, GA)– The Clayton County Board of Commissioners, Clayton County Office of Economic Development and Governor Brian Kemp celebrate the opening of GlassesUSA with a ribbon cutting and facility tour on Thurs., May 30, 2024, from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. at 640 Airport South Pkwy, College Park, GA 30349.
GlassesUSA, one of the nation’s largest online prescription retailers, chose Clayton County as home to the new US Headquarters and state-of-the-art Optical Lab and Fulfillment Center, an investment of $10 million and 75 jobs. Access to the world’s busiest airport in Clayton County, the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, and the Port of Savannah are key factors for the location decision, which allows the company to send and receive products with multiple options.
“The Clayton County Board of Commissioners welcome this innovative business and economic development opportunity,” said Chief Operations Officer Detrick Stanford. “We are excited that GlassesUSA chose Clayton County to do business and we look forward to expanding the number of major corporations and small business opportunities with all that Clayton County has to offer.”
The new headquarters lab and fulfillment center can support the customization of over 12,000 pairs of prescription eyewear on a daily basis. Customers can anticipate house and designer brands such as Ray-Ban, Gucci, Prada, and more. GlassesUSA.com boasts the largest inventory available in the United States.
“Clayton County is open for business and companies are taking notice,” said Clayton County Board of Commissioners Chairman Jeffrey E. Turner. “We welcome GlassesUSA and look forward to working with other companies who want to develop and expand their business in Clayton County, where the world lands and opportunities take off.”
Operating hours at the lab and fulfillment center are 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. Mon.-Fri.
