Absentee Ballot Processing and Tabulation

NOTICE

EARLY PROCESSING OF ABSENTEE BALLOTS

Pursuant to Senate O.C.G.A 21-2-386, the Clayton County Board of Elections and Registration intends to begin processing absentee ballots cast for November 5, 2024, General Election Friday, October 25, 2024, through Tuesday, November 5, 2024.

The opening of ballot envelopes and scanning of ballots will begin each day at 9:00

AM and conclude at 5:00 PM until completed.

On Election Day, November 5, 2024, the processing of absentee ballots cast for the General Election will commence at 7:00 AM until completion.

A sign will be posted on the front door notifying the public if there is any change to this schedule or if activities are suspended for any period. This activity will take place at the Clayton County Board of Elections and Registration Elections Center,

7946 North McDonough Street, Jonesboro, Georgia 30236.

Early processing of absentee ballots shall be controlled, such that ballot secrecy is maintained. The collection or disclosure of any balloting information before the close of the polls at 7:00 P.M. on Election Day is strictly prohibited.

Any members of the public who wish to observe will be required to check in, receive a badge, take an oath, and relinquish cell phones or other electronic recording devices prior to viewing this process.

NOTICE OF COMPUTATION AND CANVASSING OF RETURNS

NOVEMBER GENERAL ELECTIONS

NOVEMBER 5, 2024

In accordance to the Official Code of Georgia §21-2-492, notice is hereby given that the computation and canvassing of the return votes cast in the Elections to be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, will commence at 7: 00 PM, on November 5, 2024, and conclude after all votes have been tabulated. Computation and Canvassing of the votes will take place at the following location:

Clayton County Elections Center

7946 N. McDonough Street

Jonesboro, Georgia 30236

The public is welcome to attend. Results will also be available via www.claytonelections.com.

NOTICE OF INTENT TO BEGIN ABSENTEE BALLOT TABULATION

PRIOR TO CLOSE OF POLLS

Notice is hereby given in accordance with Georgia Election Code § 21-2-386(a)(4) that Tabulation of absentee ballots for November 5, 2024 General & Election will begin at 7:00 A.M. on Election Day at the Clayton County Elections Center,

7946 North McDonough Street, Jonesboro and will continue until completed.

Results of the tabulation will not be available until close of all polls.

Election Results on Election Night can be obtained by telephone at (770) 477-3372, until 12 a.m.

The public can view the results on the internet at: www.claytonelections.com.
