Vision Statement: To fully utilize available resources to implement innovative strategies to maximize and enhance our compensation system to increase retention, morale, and productivity. 


Compensation/Classification WFA is responsible for the following essential functions:

  • Develops and Maintains an Effective Records Management Policies and Procedures System
  • Conducts Job Analysis and Evaluations
  • Manages the On-Boarding Process
  • Monitors the Effectiveness of the Compensation System
  • Identifies and Recommends Compensation Strategies
  • Protects the Internal Equity of the Compensation System in Accordance with Civil Service Rules and Applicable EEO Laws
  • Implements and Executes Procedures to Ensure Data Integrity
  • Collaborates with Departments to Develop Job Descriptions That Effectively Captures the Needs of the Jobs in Compliance With Applicable Laws and Best Practices
  • Manages Position Control to Ensure Proper Allocations
  • Provides Various Legally Mandated and Voluntary Reporting
  • Tracks and Reports Human Resources Metrics for Planning Purposes and Special Projects
  • Facilitates and Coordinates the Testing Process for Public Safety Per Ordinances and Civil Service Rules
  • Processes Personnel Actions
  • Manages the Open Records Process Including Requests Through Gov QA
  • Manages Employment/Income/Background Verifications
  • Responds to Surveys for Compensation Data
  • Provides Ongoing Support and Assistance to the Departmental HR Partners and Leadership
