Administration is responsible for the following essential functions:

  • Manages the system of personnel administration for Clayton County Board of Commissioners
  • Develops and implement Human Resources Management policies that are driven by law and best practices
  • Serves as consultants to Executive Leadership
  • Conducts investigations and advises/supports disciplinary measures
  • Manages department’s budget to ensure fiscal responsibility
  • Forecasts and implements strategies to chart the course for future needs
  • Manages all aspects of the Civil Service System
  • Effectively manages daily operations of the Human Resources Department
  • Executes Special Projects
  • Provides Human Resources Management Support on Various Issues
  • Human Resources Director serves as secretary to the Civil Service Board and is a member of Pension Board
