On-Site (In-School) Field Trips

Clayton Fresh’s mobile market works to address poor eating habits and inactivity in youth and families.  The Gracy Series is an in-school, comprehensive program for 4th grade classrooms, “Learn.  Eat.  Grow.”  Students will enjoy three sessions throughout the school year that will introduce the MyPlate foundation and beyond.

Through a mix of hands-on activities, demonstrations, and experiments, students will learn about the importance of a healthy lifestyle.

The culminating event will be Pizza Farm, a free field trip where youth will rotate through stations representing the various parts of a pizza.  The rotations will highlight several important parts of Georgia agriculture, including, dairy, wheat, and vegetables.

This outreach is free to Clayton County Public Schools.
