4-H Horse Club

The 4-H Horse Program is one of the most exciting and enjoyable facets of Georgia 4-H, a youth development program offered by the University of Georgia College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences. Competitive events include the State 4-H Horse Show, 4-H Horse Quiz Bowls, and more.  Educational learning opportunities are offered at 4-H Horse School and a variety of other workshops and clinics.

NOTE: A parent or guardian must attend all meetings in order to complete required forms for participation.

The goal of the Clayton County 4-H Horse Club is to:

  • promote mastery of horsemanship skills through hands-on learning experiences
  • develop generosity through service in the local equine community
  • build a sense of belonging by giving 4-H’ers the opportunity to be a part of something important and relevant
  • encourage independence in every 4-H’er by teaching them to be responsible and knowledgeable horsemen and horsewomen
