4-H Book Club

Under the guidance of the 4-H Agent, 4-H Program Assistant, and 4-H Volunteer, the Clayton County book club meets once a month. Youths will meet once a month for a one-hour session. Meet with other members to discuss features of the assigned book choice. Youths will work together to strengthen their reading comprehension and critical thinking skills. Through discussions, they will connect with their peers and develop life skills. Ability to work together. Improve their literacy skills and gain confidence in their writing skills. Clayton County 4-H staff will preview and select the books. If a parent or guardian chooses to have their youth opt out of the monthly meeting, please let us know in advance since attendance does affect 4-H membership. We encourage all parents/guardians to research and give us feedback on selected book titles to enhance their reading skills.
