The Office of Planning, Zoning, and Sustainability works with the Technical Review Committee, Zoning Advisory Group, and Board of Zoning Appeals to process and approve applications.
Technical Review Committee meetings are held within the Community Development Department Conference Room, located at 121 South McDonough Street, Jonesboro, GA 30326. All plan review meetings will be held from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. The schedule date determines at which TRC meeting applicant shall receive Staff comments. Applicants MUST attend their assigned TRC meeting to receive their comments.
Applicants must be in attendance and will be assigned time slot when fees are received. All applications must be completed and submitted prior to 12:00 pm (noon) on the day of the submission deadline.
Board of Zoning Appeals Public Hearings are held once a month at 7:00 pm in the Commissioner Board Room, located at 112 Smith Street, Jonesboro, GA 30326.
Zoning Advisory Group Public Hearings are limited to 10 application items per Article 10.15 of the zoning ordinance. Applicants forwarded from TRC will be added to the agenda according to date and time of original submittal.
