Animal Control Board

The Clayton County Animal Control Board 

Meets Quarterly, Every Second Tuesday at 6:00PM.

Meetings are held in the Clayton County Police Headquarters,

7911 N McDonough St., Jonesboro, Georgia 30236.

Changes in the scheduling of the meetings will be posted at least 24 hours in advance.

Meetings are open to the public.

Description

The board handles Dangerous Dog Hearings that come from Animal Control.  In addition, the board has the authority to study animal related issues, including but not limited to identifying ways to reduce animal overpopulation, encourage animal adoptions, improve public relations, improved animal safety, and comfort, and make recommendations to the board of commissioners regarding those issues.

Membership was reconstituted to five on March 12, 2013 with three year terms.
