ADOPTION EVENT LOCATION CHANGE Due to a recent parvo outbreak in the main adoption area, the location of this weekend's adoption event is changing from the Ellenwood facility to the Jonesboro facility (1396 Government Circle, Jonesboro, GA 30236). This decision is not made lightly, especially with such short notice. This year has been especially tough for parvo outbreaks, and unfortunately, it has occurred twice this year, adversely affecting scheduled adoption events. Clayton County Animal Control empathizes with the public that adoption events are helpful and necessary and that plans are made ahead of time for attendance, which is why, instead of completely canceling this event, we are just changing the location.
