Double-Reveal to Feature New Designs of the SPLOST Funded Northwest Library Branch and Northwest Police Precinct
(Riverdale, GA)–Clayton residents are invited to take their first look at design plans for the new multimillion- dollar library branch and police precinct in Northwest Clayton County. A double-reveal event for the two Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) funded projects is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, October 11, 2018, at the Frank Bailey Senior Center, 6213 Riverdale Road, hosted by District 2 Commissioner Gail Hambrick. The event is free and open to the public.
Construction is in the site-prep phase for the 18,000 sq. ft. Northwest Library Branch of the Clayton County Library System. The branch will be built on 2.9 acres at Riverdale and East Fayetteville roads.
The new Sector 2 Police Precinct will be built on its original site, located at 6335 Church St. Demolition of the original building is complete and final clean-up of the property is underway. Grading and construction of the new 7,800 sq. ft. structure is scheduled to begin within 3 weeks.
Albion-Scaccia Enterprises, LLC. , a Sandy Springs-based construction contractor, is the builder for both projects, which are scheduled for completion in the fall of 2019.
