The purpose of the Clayton
County Master Gardeners is to promote good horticultural
practices in cooperation with the University of Georgia Cooperative
Extension Service. We work to advance the horticultural education
of our members and promote knowledge, interest, appreciation and
enjoyment of gardening and extend this knowledge and enjoyment to
the public.
The Master Gardener Program is a volunteer training program in
gardening with extensive education in horticultural principles. The
goal of the program is to maximize the Extension Service's outreach
in the county. Master Gardeners are trained and educated to give
unbiased, research-based information to the public.
The UGA Cooperative Extension Service offers educational
programs, assistance and materials to all people without regard to
race, color, national origin, age, sex, or disability
status.
