The Technical Services Division of Information
Technology enables county departments to more effectively use
modern technology. By providing centralized direct support of
all communications, telecommunications, personal computers and
network engineering and administration responsibilities, the
Technical Services Division frees county
departments to better serve the public.
Technical Services provides technical project management to the
multitude of new buildings and renovations currently underway or in
design phase, including but not limited to, all owner technology
for all current and planned recreations centers, senior centers,
the upcoming Juvenile Justice Center and the multiple planned
police precincts. By participating from the ground up, we
allow the taxpayers to get the maximum benefits for the minimum
costs.
Thanks to the public's support of the new SPLOST program, the
Technical Services Division will soon begin the research and
development phase of a new Public Safety Digital
Communications Network, modernizing Clayton County's
communications technology by providing, among other things, mobile
voice and data services, greatly enhancing all of Clayton County's
Public Safety services.
The Administrative Services Division is
responsible for all office and administrative support for the
Department of Information Technology.
