Qualifying Fees and Dates
for County Offices in an Election Year
The Board of Commissioners of Clayton County, Georgia, is
commanded by the official Code of Georgia, Section 21-2-131(1)(A)
to establish official qualifying fees for each county office to be
filled in each election in Clayton County.
The following qualifying fees have been fixed and shall apply to
the county offices to be filled during the General Primary and
General Elections to be held in Clayton County in 2012:

Qualifying will commence Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at 9:00 a.m.
and will conclude Friday, May 25, 2012 at 12:00 Noon. All
non-partisan candidates will qualify in the Elections and
Registration office located at 121 S. McDonough Street, Jonesboro,
GA. Qualifying times for non-partisan candidates are Wednesday and
Thursday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., and Friday, 9:00 - 12:00 Noon. If

All Republican and Democratic candidates will qualify at the
Historical Courthouse in the Ceremonial Courtroom located on the
second floor of 121 S. McDonough Street, Jonesboro. Qualifying
times for partisan candidates are Wednesday and Thursday, 9:00 a.m.
- 5:00 p.m., and Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 Noon. If you have any
