Clayton County DUI/Drug Court Overview
Clayton County DUI/Drug Court is a four phase intervention
program for adults who have pled guilty or been convicted of one or
more DUI or drug offenses and who are having difficulty staying
clean and sober. It is a collaborative effort between the State
Court, Solicitor General's Office, defense attorneys, police
agencies, probation and drug treatment programs. DUI/Drug Court
involves frequent court appearances, random drug testing, as well
as group and individual counseling.

Pre-Trial Intervention and Diversion Program
The Pre-Trial Intervention and Diversion Program is a diversion
program which is offered to certain non-violent offenders who
qualify for participation as an alternative to prosecution. The
purpose of the program is to enhance justice and public safety by
addressing the root cause of the arrest provoking behavior.
Participants receive coordinated assistance in educational and
vocational referrals, personal and group counseling, and referrals
to other community agencies appropriate to their needs.
