Ga. - The Road To Tara Museum will celebrate its 10th
Anniversary in Jonesboro, Georgia's historic train depot with a
special day of 10 cent admission on Thurs., Oct. 20.
Just fifteen miles south of Atlanta, the Road To Tara Museum
invites Gone With The Wind fans and visitors to relive Rhett and
Scarlett's sweeping romance through enjoying the museum's original
movie props and wardrobe items, foreign edition library, original
manuscripts, costume reproductions, extensive photo gallery and
complete collectible plate and doll collection.
Community members and visitors can join the Road To Tara Museum
in celebrating its 10th Anniversary with 10 cent admission on
Thurs., Oct. 20 from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. and $10 historic bus tours
from Mon., Oct. 17 until Fri. Oct. 21. Historic bus tours include
the Southern Belles & Whistles Tour at 11 a.m. and the Peter
Bonner Gone With The Wind Tour at 1 p.m. Admission to the museum
normally retails for $7 per person and historic bus tours are
$24.95 per person. To redeem the special admission rates visitors
are asked to mention the 10th Anniversary. Reservations are

Originally founded in 1993 by a private owner, the Road To Tara
Museum relocated to Jonesboro's historic train depot and completed
renovations in 2001 under the operation and management of the
Clayton County Tourism Authority and Clayton County Convention
& Visitors Bureau.
