The Clayton County Parks and Recreation Department has partnered
for a second year with the Clayton State University School of
Business Alumni Association to host a Community Beautification Day
at International Park in Jonesboro on Saturday, June 25, 2011 from
8:00am until 12:00pm. The Community Beautification Day will consist
of a cultivation project at International Park under the guidance
of the Parks and Recreation Maintenance staff and help from Clayton
State University School of Business Alumni Association
volunteers.
The Parks and Recreation Department will provide the materials
and equipment necessary for this project. Below is an outline of
items that will be the primary focus at International Park for the
Community Beautification Day:
- Establish plant beds, mulch, and trees at the main entrance of
International Park.
- Clean up the entrance and surrounding areas of the park.
- Establish plant beds throughout the park and around flag
poles.
The CSU School of Business Alumni Association was formed in
2009. Their mission is to increase the school's resources inside
and outside of the classroom, build strong and lasting
relationships with the community, and to help recruit, retain, and
